About Us
With 180 employees working in our headquarters in Amsterdam and our offices in Eindhoven and Hilversum, we are a leading Dutch content production company fully specialized in sports productions.
Southfields is renowned for producing live coverage of all matches in both men’s and women’s Dutch professional soccer. For Talpa and Ziggo Sport, we produce broadcasts of international soccer competitions UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and the UEFA Europa Conference League. We are also proud producers of all Eredivisie programming for ESPN, and of MotoGP and Formula1 programming for Ziggo Sport. Additionally, we produce various talk shows for numerous other channels
We are regularly host broadcaster of other major sporting events in Europe. Southfields maintains excellent relationships with all leading sports federations in the Netherlands, and we produce coverage of – and content around – major championships in sports like handball, basketball, field hockey, and volleyball.
In addition to regular sports events and programming, Southfields has a documentary department under the name Southfields Stories, which produces original and high-end sports (and sports-related) documentary films and series.
At Southfields, we're driven by innovation, creativity, and a need to keep finding new solutions. Our dedicated in-house development team, comprised of experienced broadcast engineers and creative developers, finds new ways to advance the creation, production and distribution of sports content.
In 2011, we won the Gouden Televizier-Ring – the most prestigious television award in the Netherlands – for talk show Voetbal Inside. It was the first time in Televizier-Ring history that a sports program won the award. In 2023 our talk show De Oranjezomer was nominated, and that same year its host Hélène Hendriks won the Televizier-Ring in the category Best Presenter.
Southfields was founded in 2002 by Kees Jansma and Will Moerer under the name WK Productions, and later continued as Eyeworks Sport and Infostrada Productions. In June 2015, the current management team consisting of Arthur Zuijderwijk, Emiel Gobes, and Ernst Veldkamp took over and renamed the company Southfields.
Since 2021, Southfields is part of Banijay, the world's largest group of independent producers.
